So I’ve noticed a trend among my friends of various Eastern Asian backgrounds. It appears some of them gravitate towards specific apps. For example, most of my Chinese friends use WeChat or WeiXin (微信）.
My Japanese friends tend to use Line
And my Korean friends use KaoKao talk and What’s App.
I wonder if the divide or preference has to do with the region the app was created in, but as far as I know LINE is a Korean app, but is mostly used by Japanese people. *Shrugs* lol, just a thing I’m wondering about.
