Turquoise Nails <3

Hello!

So i love love loooove this shade of green. Its like a blue green turquoise tealish shade that looks great with my skin color. I apply a glitter coat on top that is purple in some lights and green the next. Its great! I bought the green glitter one for $1.99 USD in my local RiteAid pharmacy. Its called petites 553- utopia, and the base underneath that you cant see lol is not called anything its just green by a company called Color Concept and I totally stole it from my nail guru kid sister. First Regimen A (01/15/2013)

Hey Everyone!

So i did my first go of Regimen A and it turned out pretty cool! The secret is air drying really well, because the first time I did RB (Regimen B) i did a very sloppy roller set and my hair was puffy the next day.

Just a quick reminder, you can find the detailed RA (Regimen A) under the HHJ (Healthy Hair Journey) Tab.

So this time, I had to make a leave in conditioner, because im too cheap to buy one lol. I’ll post how to very soon. I sprayed liberally and watched a few roller set videos on YouTube, i wont insult anyone’s intelligence by showing you all how to google and watch a roller set video.

Pics are below of the turnout (i painted my nails my favorite shade of green! I’ll post on the nails in the Fashion Tab) toodles and HHHJ (happy healthy hair journey) !!!!

This is after I air dried for about 1.5 hours. (watched a scary movie while I was waiting, maybe it scared my hair dry lol because it took me 2 hours 5 days ago. Then again it was a super sloppy roller set so maybe thats another con to rollersetting like a maniac.

Little Ol’ Me

I am an aspiring UN hopeful and I take my health seriously. I really love languages and learning to appreciate other cultures. I currently speak four languages (English, Spanish, Mandarin and Japanese) and am seeking to become multilingual (8 languages, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, German, French, and Russian) . I have my foot in the door with a plethora of languages, basic greetings and such. I don’t consider ANYONE fluent in anything unless they are literate as well. If learning languages was just speaking, technically I’d know eight.

BUT if you can not read or write, then lol what good are you?

My primary interests are: LARPing, reading, medicine, personal grooming and food!

And lastly to stay on topic with this HHJ blog, I am in the middle about the great fake hair/natural hair debate. I feel like a woman should be able to do WHATEVER she so pleases to do with her hair, so long as she is PROUD of it and not CONFORMING to the standards of others, including her own peoples’.

I do not currently wear faux hair, but I can see myself doing so in the future. I like the way relaxed hair looks, though I am starting to appreciate how natural hair looks as well. So for me, I am going to try and grow my hair by using healthy hair practices which COULD lead my hair to becoming natural.

Beginning my HHJ

Hi!

I’m going to rant about my Healthy Hair Journey, why i started one and how. So, I’m  in my twenties and assumed I’d have longish hair by now. Instead my hair seems adamant about staying ear length. I love the cute short styles, they’re very news anchor chic, but I want to have longer, healthier hair. I’ve been watching tons of YouTube videos and reading articles all centered around the big hair debate: Going Natural vs. Relaxed Hair. There is an interesting article that poses the question to three women that I found on curlynikki.com

The Fake Hair Debate- A Discussion

The following YouTube videos also contributed to my desire to having a HHJ.

The first is the hair journey of a woman named Chime Edwards, all rights reserved.

and the last is a woman named India, from MyNaturalSistas

These things are just some of what I discovered and I was very inspired by the latter. So I Googled how to start a hair journey and I’ve found that you need to create a hair regimen to get started. I’ll post the regimen I came up with next.

Thanks for visiting! Happy Hair Journey 🙂
