Impulses, impulses… got a random piercing

This is going to be a short one. I’ve always wanted an ear piercing higher up on my ear. I hemmed and hawwed for years where finally I just impulsively got it pierced at a random mall.

Anti climactic piercing

The sucker stings though I admit. There’s an overpriced saline solution that they upsell. (Yes I bought it lol).

Overpriced saline solution

So yeah, it was a good experience overall. They say I need to leave it for 6 months so that the hole doesn’t close up. I got a 3mm stud earring and I’m looking forward to getting a second.

What impulsive (but super permanent lol) things have you tried?

Nails, nails, nails!

Okay so I want to say since mid 2019 through early 2020 I’ve made more of an effort to frivolously decorate my extremities. Manicures are a great way to do that. It has been a lot of fun discovering different ways to decorate.

As for me, this is one of my favorites, modeled by yours truly:

They make my battle scarred hands look not so terrible lol. I got to a local spot in Queens, NY called Crazy Nails. Your experience really depends on who you get, their skill level and station. I happened to find a pretty good employee so I stick to him like glue. I’ve heard male nail techs are better than female ones and while I am not usually one to stereotype, it may be true.

Hope you have a great day! Nailed it! ROFL.

50 Shades of Chanaia

Hi! I love all types of Fashion: Goth, Lolita, African, Streetwear, you name it. I live in New York City, and always have, so its no wonder that my style changes every year.

With so many options and styles to choose from, I find myself borke all the time trying to “discover” myself. There are way too many sides to me, and I like them all almost equally, so lol only age and social norms will get me to stop some of my more outlandish outfits.

I like Lolita:

I also like Victorian / Steampunk and LARP

Japanese traditional wear:

It’s pretty endless…

Here’s to self expression and negative bank accounts!
